‘Quarantined’ A Short Apocalyptic Film

This short story follows Abigail Brenz and he struggle through the lonely world that is left after a global pandemic. All alone with her furry companion she awakens on a day that has a special meaning, even though time and become irrelevant.

The idea for this short story came from reedy.com. While the original story idea focuses around a person celebrating their own birthday while being the last one alive, I thought that I would add a little twist to the story by making the only day that was important to the character to be the birthday of her only companion left.

This story was shot using an iPhone 8 plus and edited using Adobe Premiere Pro. The music used in this story was found at http://www.bensound.com. The shots were taken mainly in my apartment in Mount Pleasant and Central Michigan University’s campus.

Patriots Success During Brady Era

For the last 20 years the New England Patriots have dominated the world of football. With the Brady Era officially over in New England fans can’t help but wonder what will happen to the franchise.

Below are some charts, including a map of their Super Bowl victories, that serve has a helpful reminder of what Brady brought to the Patriots and the success they had with him at the helm of the offense. The Patriots have 9 Super Bowl appearances with Brady and it will be interesting to see if they can build on that legacy.

Life In Quarantine

This is the day in the life for Abigail Brenz as she spends life trapped in my apartment with me during this COVID-19 quarantine. While Abigail spends a fair amount of time lounging and playing with our cat, Gromit, she still needs to take time preparing her elementary students for online classes for the rest of the school year. From old early morning routines to was to past the time inside it was all captured and some of the highlights brought here for viewing pleasure.

A Little About Rob Klco

Introducing: Rob Klco!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

Hello and welcome to my blog! I will be your blogger/curator on this page and I look forward to providing you with great journalistic content. This blog is for my Journalism 340, Introduction to Digital Journalism, at Central Michigan University.

First off a little about myself. I come from a small town where we have more cows than people. I have a last name that seems complicated to some but once I explain it makes sense. My last name is spelled KLCO and no it’s not a typo, there is only one vowel. You see, my family came from the Czech Republic area and this is actually a really common name over there. When my ancestors came over to America they refused to change the name to the English spelling, Kelso. And yes I have watched That 70’s Show. People look at me confused when I tell them how its pronounced but then I just tell them to think of the C as a really soft C so it sounds more like an S and then they kind of understand.

I moved out of the farm to Mount Pleasant in order to pursue a college education. Currently I am studying Broadcast and Cinematic Arts as well as Multimedia Design. I am currently in my senior year and I am looking forward to contributing to the vast sea that is media very soon.

During the summer you can find me on Mackinac Island managing a hamburger restaurant called Mighty Mac. While the island can be crowded with tourists during the day we tend to do all our recreational activities after the last boat leaves.

As far as free time goes I like to spend it playing on my Xbox or cuddling with my cutie of a cat, Gromit, and watching a show. Speaking of cats I adopted my little buddy from HATS in Mount Pleasant last spring and have enjoyed every moment with him.

I’m looking forward to bringing all of you the best journalistic content I can find over the course of this semester!

Happy reading!
